Proof That Our Heat Could Be Much Worse

Yes, it's been hot here in Ocean County for a while now, with temperatures well into the 80s and heat indexes well into the 90s, but it could always be worse. Much worse. Take this for example:

Yesterday, the city of Bandar Mahshahr in Iran got hot. Really hot. With thermometers topping out at 115 degrees.

But it gets even worse - with stifling humidity, the head index climbed all the way to 165 degrees.

Yes, you read that right - the heat index was roughly the same temperature as a well done steak.

So there you go, it may be hot here in Ocean County, but it could be worse. Much, much worse!
