Popular Toms River Ice Cream Shop To Expand South

If you've driven Route 9 through Forked River lately, you may have noticed signs of activity at the former Subway. It turns out that a long time Toms River favorite will be opening a new location there.

Rich's Ice Cream, which has been a dessert tradition for generations of Toms River families, will be bringing their popular homemade treats to The Lacey Mall.

It was just last spring that Rich's returned to Toms River at a new location just down the road from the original ice cream shop, which began scooping homemade dessert three generations ago.

As of right now, the family behind Rich's is just teasing the upcoming location, posting on their Facebook page that the new store will be opening soon. We'll be sure to keep you updated!
