Ten Days. One Dog: Bailey at New Jersey’s Popcorn Park Zoo Needs Your Help Now!
Recently, I wrote an article about the Popcorn Park Zoo in New Jersey needing to find homes for animals at the shelter because of reconstruction at the building. Remember this: POPCORN PARK SHELTER in Forked River, NJ Needs Your Help! - THANK YOU! All animals were adopted or fostered while the reconstruction is underway, EXCEPT for one dog.
Time Is Running Out for Bailey, and He Needs Us
There are moments when an animal’s story lands a little heavier than the rest. Bailey’s is one of them.

Bailey is currently at the Popcorn Park Rescue Shelter in Forked River, and unless someone steps up, he has just 10 days to find a foster or forever home. Ten days. That’s it. The clock is ticking, and this sweet boy deserves so much more than being overlooked.
Why Popcorn Park Zoo Needs New Jersey’s Help
Bailey is 7 years old, but don’t let that number trick you. He’s not slowing down, not acting “senior,” and definitely not ready to fade into the background. He still loves to play, has energy to spare, and knows a whole bunch of commands. More than anything, Bailey loves people. He’s one of those dogs who leans into you, looks you straight in the eyes, and makes you feel like you’re his entire world.
He can be a little cautious around men at first, but with a bit of patience, his guard drops quickly. Once that happens, Bailey’s true personality shines through, loyal, affectionate, and all-in on being your best friend. He’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply and means it.
Bailey does need to be the only pet in the home, but let’s be honest, when you find your dog, that’s not a downside. That’s devotion. And just look at him. That face says it all.
Here’s the hopeful part: rescues are ready to step in and pull Bailey, if a foster comes forward. That means a short-term commitment could literally save his life and give him the bridge he needs to safety, thanks to Associated Humane Society Forked River Facebook post.
Popcorn Park Rescue Shelter does incredible work for animals across New Jersey, and Bailey is exactly the kind of dog they fight so hard for. He just needs one person to say “yes.”
Please don’t scroll past Bailey. Please don’t assume someone else will help. If you can foster or adopt, now is the moment.
