"The National Night Out program is a nation wide event created to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It provides a wonderful opportunity to bring police, first responders and neighbors together under positive circumstances."

Officials in Plumstead Township announced they will once again host a "First Night" event and fireworks in New Egypt. There will be food available by local vendors including Sweet Carolina BBQ, Jersey Roll, Stacy’s Sweet Shop and others.

National Night Out’ in Plumstead runs from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6th at the New Egypt Recreation Field at 30 Brynmore Rd.
