Our Sister Station Did It; $105,700 and More All For Ocean Of Love
Way to go 105.7 The Hawk, our sister station with Townsquare Media.
Every year, The Hawk's Afternoon Guy, Andy Chase heads up on a billboard to raise money for Ocean of Love in Ocean County and doesn't come down until they raise $105,700. He's up there for four days only. This year has been so crazy, we were wondering can it be done this year.
Amazingly, they raised $155,625. WOW, the community came together and this was the highest amount ever raised. The year 2020 just plain stinks, but this is just a giant bright light.
Ocean of Love is a non-profit, charitable 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to helping Ocean County children with cancer and their families. Their purpose is to assist the children through their illness. They provide financial and emotional support so that they can experience the "normal" joys of childhood, knowing their lives are significant and meaningful to each and every one of us.
Andy Chase and Chris Varacchi (Midday Host on 105.7 The Hawk) run this with love. It's four days of pure love and help from the community. If you'd like to donate to this wonderful organization, click here. Just because billboard is over it doesn't mean they still don't need money to help out as many families dealing with childhood cancer in Ocean County as possible.
Shawn and I were able to volunteer our time at the 105.7 Hawk Billboard Radiothon and so many of our listeners came down and donated, we can't thank you enough.
For everyone that came out and donated, "Thank you" for being a part of something spectacular.
