OC Superior Court to Host a Custody and Support Workshop This Week

Considering divorce or separation? Ocean County Superior Court staff will be holding a free workshop this week to let you know what's involved.

The workshop takes place this Thursday April 17th. Court Ombudsman Anne Marie Fleury explains what you can expect.

"And so they want to know information regarding custody arrangements, parenting time and or spousal support or child support, so we go through the entire application process," Fleury said.

The workshop is also aimed at explaining the custody and support order modification process.

Fleury said an Attorney from Ocean/Monmouth Legal Services who will be doing most of the presentation.

"What's nice about having the Attorney from Ocean/Monmouth Legal Services is that he or she will be able to cross that line of giving suggestions to individuals as far as what would be better or not necessarily better in their particular situation," Fleury explained.

There will also be staff from the Superior Court Family Division and Probation Division to provide further information about the court processes and procedures.
