No Pets Found in Hot Cars during Weekend Crackdown at the Jersey Shore
Animal owners apparently heeded warnings from the New Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals last week about not leaving pets unattended, in hot cars.
A crackdown Saturday from Point Pleasant Beach to Seaside Park, by volunteer officers with the NJSPCA, resulted in no dog or cat owners being ticketed after thousands of cars were checked.
"NO animals, ZERO, were discovered left in cars," according to the organization's Facebook page.
The NJSPCA thanked local police departments and animal control for assisting with the detail.
