New Jersey’s Wealthiest Politician Is A Familiar Ocean County Face

As of January 20th, Inauguration Day, the United States of America will swear in the wealthiest man to ever hold the office of President. On that theme, one website took a look at all 50 states to identify the wealthiest politicians in each.

New Jersey's entry on the list is someone that Shore residents should recognize.

For comparison sake, #50 on the list from MSN Money is still doing better than most of us ever will, with Hawaii Senator Mazie K. Hirono with a net worth of $2,704,518.

#1 on the list is California's 49th District Congressional Representative Darrell Issa, who is worth nearly half a billion dollars, checking in with jaw dropping net worth of $436,500,015.

So, what about New Jersey?

According to MSN Money, the wealthiest politician in New Jersey is the 3rd District's very own Representative to Congress, Tom MacArthur.

They peg Rep. MacArthur's net worth at $52,903,452.

Of course, the 3rd District encompasses large portions of Ocean County; from Brick to Barnegat, and west through much of Burlington County.
