Ruthless pimp in NJ strong-armed prostitutes working for him
🔵 Atlantic City man convicted for human trafficking and serving as a pimp.

🔵 The pimp held their heroin addiction against them.
An Atlantic City man is looking at a couple of decades in state prison after being convicted for promoting prostitution and in the way he treated two women working for him.
Tahir Gregory, 43, of Atlantic City, was charged in 2017 with two counts each of First Degree Human Trafficking and Third Degree Promoting Prostitution of two women, and this week was convicted by an Atlantic County jury, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
The two victims he was pimping out identified Gregory in court with one of them opening up about how Gregory would use their heroin addiction against them and tried to control one of them while they were locked up in county jail.
In addition, while in court, both women said that Gregory also threatened to or carried out physically abusing attacks on them as a way for him to stay in control of their lives.
Gregory was also accused of taking any money the women brought in from actions he forced them to be apart of at any point and he took one of their identifications and her birth certificate.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office also said that since they were in the throngs of heroin addiction, both women are now in recovery and "were strong enough to testify and face the defendant at trial."
Atlantic County Assistant Prosecutor Deirdre Laws represented the State at trial.
“Because of the victims’ strength, they ended Gregory’s reign of trafficking and spared future victims.”

Detectives from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, and the Atlantic City Police Department investigated the prostitution and drug activity case.
At his scheduled sentencing on March 7, 2023, Gregory is looking at a possible 20 years in a New Jersey State Prison.
