Forked River Is Getting a Brand-New Hot Spot, And We’ll Be There – Join Us!
Okay, Forked River… something BIG is happening on South Main Street (RT. 9), and Shawn and I are going to be there when the doors open because this place is getting a whole new look and a fresh new chapter.

Pine Tar Is Getting Ready for a Relaunch
Pine Tar Bar & Grill has temporarily closed while renovations are underway, with a big reopening celebration planned for Saturday, August 29th, 2026.
And this isn't just a little fresh coat of paint.
The restaurant is teasing a new look and a new chapter for the business, and they're promising plenty of excitement when they officially welcome everyone back.
There are even plans for giveaways for some of the first people through the doors.
You know how we are around here, tell us there's a giveaway and suddenly everybody wants to be first in line!
Shawn and I Will Be There!
This Saturday, August 29th, 2026, Shawn and I and 92.7 WOBM will be heading over to check everything out and be part of the celebration.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what they've done with the place.
There's always something fun about walking into a familiar location and seeing it completely transformed.
And honestly, that's one of the things I love about living here. Ocean County is constantly changing, but those changes happen in places we already know and remember.
A New Chapter for a Familiar Location
The Pine Tar Bar and Grill makeover is definitely something to keep an eye on if you're in the Forked River area.
Will you love the new look? Will you love the new name? Give it a chance. Click here for more information.
That's the funny thing about local places, we get attached to them. We remember where we celebrated birthdays, grabbed dinner, met friends or simply spent a Saturday night.
