There are so many women who help make Ocean County a better place, and we're recognizing them as our Woman of the Week (WOW)!

Sue and I had the pleasure of honoring Michelle Caravella as this week's Woman of the Week (or WOW)! She was nominated by her friend Angela, who told us about how Michelle brought her neighborhood together during quarantine through fitness classes. Take a look at the glowing things Angela had to say about Michelle:

During quarantine, Michelle organized a neighborhood fitness group to keep us healthy and offer support during these tough times. There are nearly 400 of us now benefitting from Michelle’s kindness, and the group keeps growing. It’s online with a fb group and in person, with a rebounding class in her backyard, daily walks, cardio routines, healthy food and mindset tips. She has created a community to uplift each other while taking challenges like 10,000 steps a day, burn 666 active calories daily, 5 minute fitness and many others. She is always popping online to the fb group and sharing her challenges and how she is working through them, which gives us comfort that we are not alone, along with guidance and motivation. She even has weekly raffles to celebrate our fitness, mindset, support and growth successes giving out prizes. She does all this while raising her two young daughters with an equally as awesome husband-they are a fabulous family, and we are so blessed to have them in our neighborhood. She is a positive, friendly and responsible community spirited role model and deserves to be recognized as WOBM’s Woman of the Week.

Congratulations, Michelle! You should pat yourself on the back for all you do. Helping people feel connected through these crazy times is something to be proud of.
