As we get ready to head into the weekend, let's take one more look at where the Ocean County school spirit championship round stands:

When we last gave you a summary on Wednesday, Central Regional High School was leading Manchester Township High School by 19%.

Since then, Manchester has been steadily closing the gap.

As I write this, nearly 6,500 votes have been cast.

Central Regional has hung on to their lead, but the lead is definitely tighter. Manchester has made up a lot of that gap and is now within only 7%.

It just goes to show how quickly things can change with this competition. By steadily chipping away at the lead, Manchester has definitely shown that this is still anybody's game to win.

And if that's what's happened in only a little over two days, you can see what I mean when I say that it's truly still possible for either to win!
