Earlier today I went on my rant about people who don't pick up after their dogs in public and it brought to mind the age old debate...which is worse, picking up after the dog, or cleaning out the cat's litter box?

A little background first - my mother is a cat person, I'm a dog person. She's dog-sat for me before, and I've cat-sat for her before, so in addition to our own every day routines, we've also experienced each other's worlds at times.

If you ask her, taking a minute to pick up dog poop with your hand (even with an impermeable plastic barrier in between) is far worse than cleaning out the litter box.

If you ask me, spending a good 5-10 minutes sifting through the litter box is like going on a scavenger hunt for bodily functions. If there's not treasure under all that sand, I'm not interested.

So what do you think? Which is worse, picking up after the dog, or cleaning out the cat's litter box? Vote below and feel free to leave a comment!
