The discovery of the lifeless body of a man in a Lakewood home triggers a homicide investigation. A press release from the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office identifies the victim as a 46-year-old Lakewood man who's death appears to be suspicious.

The victim's body was found inside a Coventry Square unit on Sunday, October 12th, by Lakewood Police Officer Brandon Burkhardt. He was responding to a call about an unresponsive man at around 5:30 am along with emergency medical personnel. However, their efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

In a statement from the prosecutor's office, "At this time, the investigating agencies are speaking to several individuals in an effort to gather information pertaining to the victims activity in the hours prior to his death.
