Lakewood Home Invasion Robbery Suspect Arrested

One suspect arrested and another at large in a daytime home invasion robbery in Lakewood. Township police responding to a disturbance caught up to 41-year-old Clarence Simmons of Pleasantville spotted running with another male suspect Thursday at around noon from a Daniel Drive home. Police also recovered two handguns on the path taken by the suspects near the crime scene.

Simmons was placed in the Ocean County Jail on Robbery, Burglary, multiple weapons counts on $145,000. Police say they're working on several leads to locate the second suspect. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Peter Aakjer or Officer Michael Mooney Jr. at 732-363-0200.
