Houseguests – Fun or a Hassle? [Poll]

These days we're all trying to save money on trips. I'm heading out on vacation next month; I'll be saving by staying with a friend who has also generously offered to let me use his family's second vehicle as well.

You can save literally hundreds of dollars by traveling to areas where you have friends or family and foregoing hotels.

But that leads to the big question - is it fun to have friends stay with you, or is it a hassle?

You have to clean house and stock the fridge. If you'll be keeping your usual working schedule while your houseguests are there on vacation, you'll have to figure out bathroom schedules so your daily routine isn't thrown off. If there are kids involved, you'll probably want to put the valuables out of reach as well.
