A high-speed pursuit ends in an arrest on numerous charges  in Toms River by State Police.

After being reported for driving erratically on Route 37 in Toms River early Sunday morning, a State Police trooper on drunk driving patrol  pursued 20-year-old Shane Liscik of Waretown when he failed to stop.

Police say Liscik lost control of his vehicle several times and crashed into Trooper Kryscnski's marked car. After the colliding with the marked Troop car, Liscik continued to flee and struck a tree on Bartlett Street in Toms River.

Further investigation by State Police revealed that the Hyundai Elantra Liscik was driving was stolen.

Liscik faces a slew of charges ranging from DUI to resisting arrest.  He struck a trooper's vehicle during the chase before hitting a tree.  Bail is set at $75,000.

Kryscnski sustained injuries to his right wrist, elbow and shoulder. He was treated at Community Hospital in Toms River and released.
