Now that we are past Labor Day 2019, the summer season is firmly behind us.

Kids are getting back to school, pumpkin spice everything is out, and a sure sign that the scariest season of the year is here - Six Flags Great Adventure just released their Fright Fest 2019 plans.

Appropriately, Fright Fest 2019 kicks off this year on Friday the 13th (of September) and runs through November 3rd.

On the spooky schedule this year are attractions like "Aftermath", which the park describes like this:

This raw, post-apocalyptic world crawling with barbaric mutant scavengers has a new location in Metropolis and features new scares for 2019. Humans are charged with escaping this global catastrophe.

Of course, there are kid-friendly favorites like the Trick-or-Treat Trail and "Scary-oke", where kids can belt out their favorite Halloween tunes.

But the biggest attraction for this year's Fright Fest will be the return of the 30-Hour Coffin Challenge, which took the internet by storm last fall.

If you think that you can handle 30 hours in a coffin, click here to head over to Great Adventure's web site starting on September 9th to enter for a chance to join the undead.

Joining the coffin crew this year will be Butch Patrick from TV's The Munsters, who will be the guest emcee.
