Is it to soon for Halloween? For some but not for others. Come on Sue, summer hasn't even arrived yet at the Jersey Shore.

Spirit Halloween Stores have been popping up for a long time at the Shore in empty stores in busy strip malls for several years. They are so popular everywhere. It's everything Halloween under one roof. I actually like just walking through. It's scary, fun, and FREE to walk in the store. Of course, nothing is free IN the store.

Halloween has become so popular. I love the spirit of everyone decorating for Halloween, it's become so, so popular. There are huge Halloween decorations from scary to so much fun.

There is a flagship Spirit Halloween Store in New Jersey, in Egg Harbor Township. Every year they have a HUGE grand opening in the summer of their Spirit Halloween store and this year it's cancelled.

Why is Spirit Halloween Grand Opening Celebration Cancelled in New Jersey?

Oh boy, this could be trouble for everyone excited about this awesome grand opening celebration every year. This is from Spirit Halloween Facebook page: "Our teams have been working around the clock to bring back the ultimate Spirit Halloween experience. Unfortunately, international disruptions and supply chain challenges have thrown a wrench in our opening plans. As a result, we are forced to cancel the Egg Harbor Township grand opening event--but we intend to bring this event back next year. In the meantime, Spirit Halloween is still very much alive with over 1,500 stores on track to open! We will begin opening stores in mid-August for another killer season. The engines are on, and we're full speed ahead. Stay tuned, the best is yet to come."

Wow, surprising. This grand opening event is amazing, Halloween enthusiasts loved it.

LOOK: How Halloween has changed in the past 100 years

Stacker compiled a list of ways that Halloween has changed over the last 100 years, from how we celebrate it on the day to the costumes we wear trick-or-treating. We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that changed the ways that Halloween was celebrated over time. Many of these traditions were phased out over time. But just like fake blood in a carpet, every bit of Halloween’s history left an impression we can see traces of today.
