Spring and SUMMER will be here before we know it. I'm ready for Six Flags Great Adventure, even with all the changes.

Thank goodness they didn't remove two of my favorite rides at Great Adventure. Two of my favorite rides at Six Flags are Skull Mountain and The Dark Knight, both indoor roller coasters. The very first roller coaster my daughter was ever on was Skull Mountain, so it will always have those good feelings for me.

It's funny we did a Shawn & Sue poll and Skull Mountain won as your favorite indoor roller coaster against The Dark Knight. Skull Mountain is the "big winner". My husband loves Skull Mountain, he'd always choose this one. My daughter, Abby would choose The Dark Knight. Skull Mountain seems like a regular coaster compared to a wild mouse roller coaster in The Dark Knight.

Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ is getting ready for the 2025 season with so many rides we loved at Great Adventure not there anymore. Six Flags is super excited for the new coaster ready to open in just a couple of weeks.

Exciting Changes Coming to Six Flags Great Adventure for the 2025 Season

A brand new coaster is getting ready to open in the next couple of weeks when Six Flags opens for the 2025 season. THE FLASH: Vertical Velocity, a super boomerang coaster featuring THE FLASH. This coaster is the first-of-its-kind in North America and only the second in the world.

From Six Flags Great Adventure's website: "Strap in for a breathtaking journey that propels you up to 60 miles per hour aboard an intricately designed train inspired by THE FLASH’s suit in a race like no other. Launching both forward and backward, you’ll ascend a towering 172 feet before speeding off into micro gravity as you’re turned upside down, nearly 100 feet off the ground. Feel the rush as you zoom through a 180-degree twisted drop followed by a Zero-G roll that leads you to the end of the track. But that’s not the end. Suddenly, you’re rushing backwards to experience it all over again in reverse."

And, something cool for passholders, you can schedule a time to ride this ride before anyone else rides this ride, CLICK HERE to schedule your ride time. It's an exclusive ride event for the first couple of weekends they're open for the 2025 season.
