Heavy Rains Push The Toms River To Its Banks [Photos]
Extreme winds and heavy rains caused trees, wires, and light poles to come tumbling down across Ocean County today.
Thankfully, as of this writing the winds are winding down, but the heavy rain pushed bodies of water to their banks, with a Coastal Flood Statement from the National Weather Service in effect until the early morning hours of Tuesday.
From my perch high above Huddy Park, I could see the Toms River nearing its banks, but it all ends on a positive note - sunshine and a single white swan slowly coasting down the river.
