As people head to their hometowns for the long Thanksgiving holiday, the night before Thanksgiving Day has always been a time to catch up with old friends.

From gathering at someone's house to hitting up your local watering hole, a lot of people will be out celebrating with friends and family tonight.

Of course, that can lead to some dangerous driving situations when the night is over, so Uber is stepping in to offer New Jersey residents a free ride home this Wednesday night.

Here are the details:

  • The free offer is for rides that are $10 and under.
  • If the ride is more than $10, then $10 will be taken off the cost of the ride.
  • The offer is good from 9 o'clock tonight (Wednesday, November 27th) until 3 a.m. on Thursday (November 28th).
  • When you book your ride on the Uber app, in the "Promo/Gift Code" field, enter the code SAFERIDENJ19
  • The free ride program is good for central and south Jersey, from Middlesex County down to Cape May,
