Another National Restaurant Chain Closes A Local Eatery In Brick
The BBQ grills have been turned off at a national chain restaurant in one of Ocean County's most heavily traveled areas.
The Asbury Park Press is reporting that the Brick location of Famous Dave's BBQ has closed its doors, removed its signs, and posted a tongue in cheek note of appreciation to customers.
If you travel Cedar Bridge Avenue in Brick, you may have already noticed that the signs are down. If you decided to take a closer look, you may have seen the note on the building that simply says:
"This location is now closed. Thank 'Que for your business."
There's no word as of yet about what will occupy the now-former Famous Dave's space.
The good news for Ocean County BBQ lovers is the fact that a new locally owned BBQ joint just entered the restaurant landscape in Bayville, with Bill's BBQ Shack at the former site of C.B. Huntington's.
Famous Dave's joins a wave of nationwide chains closing stores this year, and comes only days after another formerly ubiquitous restaurant announced sweeping closings, as Bertucci's also cuts its restaurant roster.
