Here Are All The Major Chains That Are Closing Stores This Year
You'd be forgiven if you've lost track of the major national chains that have stores here at the shore that have announced closures in the coming weeks and months.
Thankfully, the website Clark.com has put together a handy list of all of the information in one place.
Here are the businesses with Shore locations that have announced closing locations in 2018:
Toys "R" Us
It was less than two weeks ago that the rumors were confirmed and we learned that Toys "R" Us will be shuttering their operations.
And don't forget, use those gift cards while you still can, time is running out!
KMart
At the beginning of March, it all started with little fanfare as shoppers spotted signs in the windows of the KMart in Brick announcing clearance sales.
The very next day, we got word that a new to the Shore store would be coming to that very plaza when "At Home" opens in the coming months.
Bon-Ton
At the beginning of the year, Bon-Ton announced that they would be closing at least 50 stores. As of now, the Brick Plaza location avoided the axe, but other NJ locations weren't so lucky.
Sears
It feels like the writing had been on the wall for some time when the nearly 130 year old business started to announce store closings, and as the calendar flipped to 2018 it came true - the Ocean County Mall's Sears will cease operations.
