Exciting! The Best Places to Hit This Fall in New Jersey
We are counting down the last remaining days of August and September is right around the corner. It's a time for the kids to get ready to get back to school, workers to return to a regular schedule, and time for exciting places to visit this fall in New Jersey.
Autumn is a beautiful time in New Jersey with cooler crisp weather and turning colors. A great time to get out and enjoy the Garden State. I love "fall" and it's our time to really enjoy the outdoors without the blazing temps, humidity, and bugs of summer lol. Now don't get me wrong I enjoy summer, but I enjoy the "change" in seasons. By the end of summer, I'm ready for the change and ready to get back to hiking and visiting new towns, and attending the many "fall" festivals that happen around New Jersey. Not to mention Halloween and football.
In a recent Visitnj.org article, they gave their list of "Best Fall Getaways in New Jersey: Destinations" The post gave their picks for great places to go this fall in Jersey. One of the spots chosen is right here in Monmouth County.
VisitNj says you will get a "fresh dose of creativity" when visiting Asbury Park. They mention how Asbury is experiencing a resurgence and they have plenty of new and classic restaurants, hotels, and nightspots. They also point out the boardwalk and shopping areas around town to enjoy this fall.
VisitNj points out the beautiful views from Hoboken, including Manhattan from the Jersey side. The "hipster-cool" feel of Hoboken. Tree-lined streets with beautiful colors in autumn. One-of-a-kind stores along Washington Street.
In this Northwest section of New Jersey, it's all about "fall foliage". The colors of autumn are on full display. Hike High Point State Park, a beautiful scenic hike that you will enjoy, bring your camera.
Greater Atlantic City Region
VisitNj points to a stroll along Ventnor Avenue to shop and quiet times on the beach. Grab some pics of Lucy the Elephant "America's oldest roadside attraction." Lucy is going through a remodel, but you can still see her from outside until they finish.
Delaware River Region
VisitNj highlights the capital city's historical sites and museums as places to hit this fall in Trenton. Visit the New Jersey State Museum. Explore the 1719 William Trent House Museum, the beautiful gardens, and the grounds. You can also visit the Old Barracks Museum and see Revolutionary War attractions.
