Robert J. Novins Planetarium at Ocean County College is hosting "Stars in My Backyard," which looks like a fun way for your kids to learn about the stars and planets! Take a look at Novins Planetarium's event description below:

Join Captain Cara for a tour of the stars in your backyard! Learn about moon phases, visible planets, and stars in the night sky in January! We'll talk about the winter circle and the bright constellations in the night sky!

Tickets are $10.00, and Novins Planetarium recommends this event for kids ages 6-11. Since this is a virtual event, you'll need to watch it on your TV - but Novins Planetarium notes that you'll need one ticket for each viewing device, and you aren't allowed to share links. They've got a showing this weekend at 3 pm, but if you can't make that, it's also happening on February 6th and March 6th. Click here for more information, and to buy tickets.

This sounds like the perfect way to keep the kids entertained. Whether you've got to do some household chores this weekend and need to occupy the kids for a little, or you want to get some family bonding in and enjoy the fun too, this could be a good solution! It's great to see that places are finding ways to be creative with hosting events in a safe way during the pandemic.
