If the year 2020 were represented by a gingerbread house, this would be it.

Last night, my brother, Dad, and I put our heads together to try and assemble what should have been an adorable gingerbread house. It was pretty much a fail from the get-go. Let me take you on the journey of this incredible fail: the icing came out clumpy, even after following directions on how to loosen it up, I accidentally put the roof of the house where the sides should be, and the decorative gum drops kept falling off the house. But worst of all, I misread the directions, and iced the chimney to the cardboard roof helper, rather than using it as a guide. The icing decorations on the house kept drooping too, so it looks more like a Christmas horror house, rather than a jolly home for a gingerbread family. Check out the sad pics below:

Ugh. Even a holly berry fell off this poor gingerbread family's wreath. Needless to say, I gave up and didn't finish the other side of the house.

If you think you can top this gingerbread house (you probably can) post a pic of yours in the comments below. And if you have any decorating tips, please share them, so I can possibly salvage the other side of this house!
