Any Other Clumsy People In Ocean County?
I’ve always been a klutz but lately I’m like a human wrecking ball. I’m not sure what’s causing the extra clumsiness lately but I hope I’ll get back to normal soon.
Here’s a look at the damage caused by my recent klutziness. When moving a Pyrex lid from the stove to the sink, I dropped it on the tile floor and it broke into about a million pieces. Well that may be a slight exaggeration but pieces went all over the place including on top of the kitchen table, and into the foyer many yards away. My Shop Vac got a workout cleaning up that mess. Another accident had me knock a microphone off my home studio desk. It landed on the floor and wrecked the connector cable. Then when in the storage closet pulling out a box of Christmas decorations, I whacked my head on a metal rod.
They say bad things happen in threes so I’m hoping that I'll be accident-free for a while. But I doubt it. There are some bruises from when I walked into a table, and a cut in my thumb from when the knife slipped out of my hand.
Some online reading tells me that frequent clumsy behavior can be a sign of a medical condition like stroke, but it can also be attributed to stress. If I had to guess, I’d say stress is probably MY reason for being “Butterfingers” lately. Are you finding yourself more accident-prone lately? Do you think it's because of the busyness and stress of the season?
