There's a high risk of rip currents today with ocean waves possibly climbing as high as 13-feet with the coastal storm passing by to go with heavy rain and wind gusts eclipsing 30 mph inland.

Governor Christie says Texas lawmakers who were against super-storm Sandy disaster recovery funding five years ago but are now seeking it to recover from hurricane Harvey are hypocrites.
But he is urging new jersey's congressional delegation not to drag their feet on supporting disaster aid.
"We were the disaster that was the longest in waiting in terms of getting federal aid and I hope that's not what happens to the folks in Texas and from Harvey," said Christie.
A number of house members from new jersey said Monday they would support Harvey recovery funding - though also noted the opposition to sandy funds from some Texas lawmakers.
Since an immersive-sound movie theater opened its doors last year along route 9 in Howell, a nearby resident says he and his family have been dealing with what sounds like thunder on a daily basis many times until 1 a.m.
As of now, despite months of trying, he's getting no help from the town.
