WEDNESDAY JANUARY 1st, 2020

Sons of Ireland Polar Bear Plunge
The Sons of Ireland hold their Polar Bear Plunge at Convention Hall in Asbury Park starting with check in at 10 a.m. and the plunge at 1 p.m. The plunge benefits Mary’s Place by the Sea, a respite home for women who are receiving treatment for cancer and You Can NOT Be Replaced, a Manasquan based grass roots organization that helps educate and raise awareness of teen suicide. SATURDAY FEBRUARY 1st, 2020

Valentine Plunge
The 14th annual Valentine Plunge takes place at noon on the Main Beach in Manasquan to benefit Joan Dancy & PALS (People With ALS) The pre-party and post-party take place at Leggett’s Sand Bar & Restaurant. Other plunge parties are scheduled for The Salty Whale, 390 East Main Street, Manasquan & Reef and Barrel, 153 Sea Girt Avenue in Manasquan. The Foundation was formed in 2005 by Terry Magovern in honor of Joan Dancy, his late fiancé, after she succumbed to ALS. Their mission is to help people in our local communities afflicted with ALS by providing a better quality of life for them and their families. Plunge for Recovery
Daytop New Jersey holds their Plunge for Recovery at Convention Hall in Asbury Park starting with registration at 1 p.m. Daytop provides treatment and services to those individuals with a substance use disorder. Click here for more information on the plunge and to donate.

Polar Bear Plunge
Special Olympics New Jersey holds their annual Polar Bear Plunge on the beach in Seaside Heights starting at 9 am with check in and the plunge at 1 p.m. Thousands of people will run into the freezing Atlantic Ocean in support of New Jersey Law Enforcement and their Law Enforcement Torch Run.
