We don't have any Hess gas stations anymore, but the familiar green & white logo still lives on every holiday season with the release of a new member of the Hess toy truck family.

The Hess truck tradition is one that goes back 53 years, with the very first Hess truck rolling off the production line and onto the holiday wish list of kids everywhere in 1964.

The Hess story, in case you didn't know, is actually local, too! With founder Leon Hess being an Asbury Park native.

It became such a sensation that some of the earliest Hess trucks can go for hundreds, and in some cases even thousands, of dollars. And nearly complete collections can soar to $7,000 or more.

The tradition will continue in just a few weeks, when the 2017 Hess truck is unveiled on November 1st.

It'll go for $33.99 with free shipping, and you'll be able to grab yours on the Hess Toy Truck website by clicking here.
