Lyle G. Person, 35, has been incarcerated in the Burlington County Jail since his arrest. He pleaded guilty to a first-degree charge of aggravated manslaughter on March 7 of this year.

Person could have been given 26 years under his plea deal, but will be required to serve about 17 years before parole eligiblity, according to the office of Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi.

Investigators determined that on March 14, 2014, Lyle Person intentionally drove over his brother, Lee Person, after an argument between them in a relative's house. He then sped off and tried to hide the 2001 BMW.

Lee Person was flown to Cooper Universtiy Medical Center in Camden, where he died after lingering for five days.

Autopsy results listed the cause of death as multiple injuries from a motor vehicle, and the manner of death as homicide.
