There are only a few times in our lives that we collectively lose someone who literally changed the world. Nelson Mandela is one of those people.

The former South African President, national hero, and human rights activist died today at 95.

Since the announcement was made earlier this afternoon, almost every broadcast TV channel and cable news channel has been running "wall to wall" coverage. When it comes to a topic like Mandela, there's a lot to talk about.

We give thanks for his life, his leadership, his devotion to humanity and humanitarian causes. We salute our friend, colleague and comrade and thank him for his sacrifices for our freedom. The three charitable organisations that he created dedicate ourselves to continue promoting his extraordinary legacy.
