Saturday was a day to remember how we first started listening to music.  On vinyl.  All around America, music shops celebrated "Record Store Day.  Some popular artists released special recordings just for that occasion.  Many stores are seeing renewed interest in vinyl albums.

It's strange to think that a whole generation grew up without record players, and those plastic inserts to make the "45s" fit on the turntable.  So I thought it would be fun to flashback to the very first records we ever bought.  Mine was "Crocodile Rock" by Elton John.   I remember hearing it on the radio and begging my mother to take me to the store to buy it.   Thankfully, Mom loved music and understood my passion, even though I was only 6.

Do you remember the first record you ever bought?  Do you still listen to your vinyl?
