Summer afternoon—summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language. ~Henry James

What a beautiful summer we had here at the Jersey Shore. Lots of sunshine and pleasant temperatures, definitely made for a good summer to be out and about. I enjoyed some really good fishing days with low humidity, fewer bugs and blue skies overhead.

I also noticed how clean the waters were. The ocean was very clean on Long Beach Island and along the bay in Tuckerton. Every single Friday we spent broadcasting at the beach in Seaside Park was fantastic. Spent some nice time on the back deck at home without feeling like butter on a skillet  ... lol.

Electric bills were much lower too, with temps lower this summer ... which is always a plus!

The gnats, flies and mosquitoes were not as bad ( knock on wood ) this Summer .... which if your a resident here at the Jersey Shore, is a blessing.

Be sure to join Sue and I each weekday morning from 5-10 a.m. as we get back to our "normal" schedule ..... right here with 92.7 WOBM.

Now we set our sights at another beautiful season - fall - and then wait for Old Man Winter to swing into town.

Over the eastern third of the country, we are expecting an active storm track with a number of storms delivering copious amounts of snow and rain.~ Farmers Almanac Winter Predictions
