Wednesday Snow May Affect Morning Commute
Snow Wednesday may complicate New Jersey’s morning commute but is not expected to leave significant accumulations in most of the state.
First, a wave of low pressure will develop off the North and South Carolina coasts tonight. Then, snow is expected to begin falling around dawn on Wednesday and continue during the morning commute, causing slick spots on the roads.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for far south Jersey including Atlantic, Cape May, Salem and Cumberland counties for 4 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday for 1-2 inches of snow. The rest of the state will have less than an inch accumulation.
Wednesday’s storm will reinforce the cold air, as temperatures will remain cold through the rest of the week with highs expected only into the 30s. A wintry mix is possible for late Sunday and Monday, according to forecasters.
