Two Collared in Atlantic City Murder Probe

Two suspects are under arrest in connection with a Thursday gunshot homicide on an Atlantic City Street.

Michael Rivera, 22, of Pleasantville, and Casey Robinson, 21, of Atlantic City, face murder and weapons counts in the death of Joshua Hopewell, 26, also of Atlantic City.

Hopewell's bullet-riddled body was found by police on North Rhode Island Avenue. He managed to survive until after he was rushed to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center.

Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel says the defendants were apprehended about 11:15 Thursday night in a house on nearby North Vermont Avenue. A Superior Court judge set bail for each at $1,000,000. Their first court appearances are scheduled for Monday.

Still unsolved is the Thursday murder of radio host April Kaufmann, 47, whose body was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside her Linwood home.
