Albert Drost, 43, of Ocean Township, and Valerie Sorensen, 55, of Berkeley Township, allegedly stored drugs for distribution in a house in Holiday City Berkeley, according to information from Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato's office.

Prosecutors say that Waretown police discovered the storage operation and called in the county Special Operations Group.

On Thursday afternoon, investigators armed with warrants stopped the 2008 Jeep Liberty Drost was driving on Route 9 near Bay Parkway in Ocean Township. Inside with him were Sorensen and about 200 doses of heroin, authorities say.

Later in the day, they searched the Berkeley Township house at Valley Drive, where they allegedly found another 200 hits.

Sorensen and Drost are each charged with possession- and distribution-related counts. Sorensen's bail was set at $40,000. Drost's is $20,000.
