Troubled, or troubling? Brick police seek St. Dominic’s mystery man

An individual whose unexpected, unsettling appearance at Saint Dominic's School in Brick Wednesday prompted police response is now the subject of a search by detectives who want to determine if he actually needs help.

Police ask you to examine the images captured as the scene unfolded, and to contact them if you recognize him.

Authorities were summoned at about 2:30 PM to the school on Old Squan Road. Officers were told that he had been in the school office and in the rectory, rambling incoherently to school and church staffers, before climbing into a gray sedan, possibly a Toyota, and driving away.

Police remained on site until dismissal.

No license plate identification was issued along with the surveillance images.
