Toms River Police seek armed robber in Dollar Tree hold-up
Toms River police are hoping clues from the public will help them identify and arrest a suspect wanted for allegedly holding up the Dollar Tree store at 1354 Hooper Avenue with a knife Friday night.
The suspect held the knife against the back of a 24-year-old female employee around 9:40 p.m. on January 29, demanding money from the register, according to Police Department Ralph Stocco.
The employee complied and the suspect fled with the entire cash drawer. The suspect is described as a white man standing about 6-feet, 2-inches with scruffy facial hair.
At the time of the incident, Stocco said the suspect was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with stripes down the arms and grey sweatpants.
Anyone with information should contact Detective Steve Bucci at 732-349-0150 extension 1300.
