Toms River police are seeking the public's help in identifying two suspects who allegedly purchased items with a stolen credit card.

The credit card was inside the case of a cell phone that was stolen from the Applebee's in the Ocean County Mall in Toms River, according to authorities. Police Department spokesman Ralph Stocco said the victim inadvertently left the cell phone on the counter when she went to the bathroom, but it already was gone by the time she realized it.

A charge had been made on the TD Bank credit card before the woman was able to report it stolen. The card was used at the Target on Hooper Avenue at 10:59 pm, and according to Stocco surveillance video shows two women leaving the store carrying merchandise purchased with the stolen credit card.

The women possibly entered a Mercedes Benz SUV vehicle.

Anyone who can identify these two women should contact Detective Robert O’Neill at 732-349-0150 extension 1255 or private message us on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/tomsriverpolice/
