With record high temperatures through much of December, a lot of us have been lulled into a sense of comfort for Winter 2015-16. But as we saw early this week, frigid temperatures are still the norm when we roll into the New Year, with some forecasters predicting that the worst is still yet to come.

This time of year, foggy car windows can not only be nuisance, but also dangerous. Especially with the warmer than usual weather than we've had in the past few weeks, you've probably gone out to your car at night and had to wait a few minutes for your defoggers to do their jobs. As we are very quickly approaching the middle of December, we're actually looking at temperatures going up in the next couple of days, not down.

As we're sitting here at the end of October on a day that got into the low 70s, it's hard to think about snow. But like it or not, it'll be here at some point.

As some areas of Ocean County may be dealing with low temperatures close to freezing over the weekend, we definitely know at this point that the comfortable late Summer and early Fall weather is over. But the big question is, what do we have on tap for Winter?

With the half a foot plus of snow throughout Ocean County melting over the last week, the last thing that we needed here was a rain storm on top of it. But if we want to look at the glass as being half full, it actually did a big favor for a lot of us.

All of the snow that we've gotten this winter has definitely caused some headaches here in Ocean County. From travel problems to school closings & delays, and even parking difficulties.
