Memorial Day Weekend

A friend of mine was just telling me about an awkward situation that she ran into this past Memorial Day Weekend, and it made me think about how I'd handle it if I was put in a similar situation.

We've made it! After a rough Winter, we can finally say that we've made it to Summer in Ocean County. Ok, so Summer doesn't officially arrive for another month, but as we know here, Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial kick-off to the Summer season. And there's a lot to enjoy this weekend at the Shore!

Memorial Day Weekend, to most of New Jersey's residents, represents the start of the best few months of the year: summer. That means nicer weather, less school bus traffic, and random trips to the shore.

We're kicking off Summer 2015 from the Seaside Park Boardwalk Studio this Memorial Day Weekend, so I figured I'd bring you inside and give you a tour of our home on the beach. Take a look:

As we roll into Memorial Day Weekend in Ocean County, and the Summer season kicks off, it also means that traffic season is kicking off in full force. So what are the worst kinds of drivers that you can run into during shore weekends? Here are my top 5 worst:

Gang members and other trouble makers beware. The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office is stepping up patrols in Seaside Heights over the four day Memorial Day Holiday weekend to ensure the boardwalk stays incident-free.

With the Summer season kicking off this Memorial Day Weekend, it's also the beginning of the Summer concert season at The PNC Bank Arts Center! And to celebrate, we're giving you the chance to pick your ticket all Memorial Day Weekend long!

As we're getting ready to open up the Seaside Park Boardwalk Studio for the season and with a ton of events coming up here in Ocean County as get into the Summer season, I thought that it would be great to have a remote controlled drone camera at the station to catch the scenes of Summer at the Jersey shore. So I went ahead and got one, and took it out for a maiden voyage a few moments ago. Watch:

We've all had some fun tracking Mary Lee, the great white shark, and her journeys to and from the Jersey Shore, but in reality she isn't much of a threat to most of us. But there is an exotic creature that's been spotted in our local waters right here in Ocean County that actually could be pretty dangerous. Scientists are telling swimmers to keep a sharp eye out. It's hard to believe that it's the last weekend before the unofficial start of Summer at the Jersey shore! That's right, Memorial Day Weekend is only a week away! So here are some ideas to keep you busy this weekend:
