Earlier today, motorists in Southern Ocean County had a slow go during their morning commutes. Route 9 was closed in both directions in Tuckerton in the area of Great Bay Blvd due to a serious accident and downed utility poles. The accident scene has since been cleared and Route 9 is back open in both directions...

My drive to work today was a bit of a nail-biter. And no, it wasn't because of snowy or icy roads. It wasn't because of an accident, construction, or backed up traffic. It was because of the people who still don't understand the concept of clearing all of the snow off of their cars.

As the snow is mostly tapering off throughout Ocean County (we're even seeing some breaks of sun here at the WOBM studios in Toms River), don't let the clearing skies fool you, we have a whole other round of dangerous conditions on the way.
