Robert Williams, 70, was apprehended early this morning at his Galleon Road dwelling, according to information from the office of Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato.

Williams, also listed as a sex offender in Florida, underwent Megan's Law stipulations related to a sexual assault in 2002.

New Jersey parole officers on a routine visit allegedly discovered Williams engaged in social networking, constituting a violation of his community supervision guidelines.

The parole offices summoned investigators in the Prosecutor's High Tech Crime Unit (HTCU), which obtained a warrant for a forensic examination of Williams's computer.

The search revealed images of preteens in sex acts, authorities said.

Williams was remanded to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $50,000 full bail.
