A suspected shoplifter, an erratic driver and an accused warrant evader kept Stafford Township police busy this weekend.

Information from headquarters says that warrant officers banged on the door of Richard Smrkovsky's house at about 2:30 AM Saturday, charging him with skipping on a $2.500 warrant issued by the Ocean County Sheriff's Office. Smrkovsky, 59, was placed in the custody of Sheriff's officers.

At about 1:45 PM on Friday, township police arrested Jeffrey Culp, 35, of Barnegat, charging him with attempting to shoplift from the Ulta beauty supply shop on Stafford Park Boulevard. He awaits a municipal court date.

A few hours later, around 8:55 PM, police on East Bay Avenue stopped a car that apparently was weaving erratically along. Constance Fellanto, 44, of Manahawkin, as charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane of travel, and possession of an open alcohol container and a controlled dangerous substance in the car.
