Stafford Man Charged with Child Porn Distribution

The second major child-porn arrest in Ocean County this week takes place in Stafford.

Alexi Y. Montoya Redondo, 40, was apprehended in his Jane Drive home at 6 AM today and charged with possession and distribution of child pornography. It follows Tuesday's arrest of a Lakehurst man by the Ocean County HIgh Tech Crime Unit.

Authorities say they seized Redondo's computer, 40 movie files and several electronic storage devices. He's accused of sharing the material with others via the Internet. His citizenship status led officers to bring the United States Department of Homeland Security and Immigrations and Customs Enforcement into the probe.

Redondo is charged with one second-degree count of distribution and a fourth-degree count of possession. He is in the Ocean County Jail in default of $50,000 bail and an ICE retainer.

Second-degree crimes carry prison terms of five to 10 years on conviction and fines as high as $150,000.
