The Stafford 40-year-old who has been jailed since May 2013 on five child pornography possession charges has pleaded guilty and tentatively has an October sentencing date.

Alexi Y. Montoya Redondo's agreement also calls for him to be turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials after completing his sentence, to undergo deportation proceedings, according to information from the office of Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato.

Redondo's ongoing incarceration was secured by an immigration detainer on the grounds that he entered the United States illegally.

His arrest stemmed from what authorities call a "pro-active search" for suspected child porn holders or sharers.

Members of the Prosecutor's High Tech Crime Unit and ICE conducting a warrant search on the Jane Drive home in Manahawkin resulted in the recovery of 40 moving-image files, Redondo's computer and electronic storage devices, authorities said.

Redondo remains in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.
