TheSantander Bank  branch in Brick  (formerly known as Sovereign Bank) is the latest target of a robbery Friday evening. Township Police say a white male suspect, who wore a stocking over his face and a black and white checkered hat, entered the Beaverson Blvd branch at 5:45 p.m.

According to officials, no weapon was shown but the suspect threatened to use one. Police said the suspect was last observed on foot in the area of Beaverson Blvd. He's described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, 145-165 lbs, wearing a black and blue checkered hat, jeans, sneakers, a stocking over his face, and a dark khaki colored jacket or zippered sweatshirt with a hood.

The suspect was carrying a dark purple or eggplant colored plastic bag with the name of a store on it.

This is the second bank robbery in Brick Township in less than two weeks. The TD Bank on Burnt Tavern Road was robbed on November 7th. That suspect remains at large.
