Ok Jersey Shore ... Strings Lights or Laser Lights for Christmas?

It's three weeks til Thanksgiving and the beginning of Christmas decorating here at the Jersey Shore and already adds are running for various "decorating" lights for your home. We have always decorated our home with outdoor lights, but I decided 2 years ago to go hi-tech and use laser lights! I'll be the first to admit it's a lot easier and less hassle without bulbs blowing out and a bunch of extension cords, not to mention up on the ladder for hours hanging.

The debate however continues, are laser lights as good as traditional wired lights? I think the laser lights are ok, if not overdone with a bunch of strobing images and flashing multi colors .... that can be a bit busy and not my thing.

How do you feel ... string lights or laser lights? Or maybe you don't like homes all lite up for the Holidays?
